In this one and a half hour panel presentation (with Q&A), five Canadian peace-making women will offer their advice on how to find that peace. Janis Alton is the former co-chair of the 60 year-old organisation, Canadian Voice of Women for Peace, will be talking about how the United Nations. Hannah Hadkin will speak from her works as a human rights activist. Deep Mattoo, Executive Director of the Barbara Schlifer Commemorative Legal Clinic, will address the issues of social violence for Black, racialised and Indigenous women. Ruth Rodney, Professor of Nursing at York University in Toronto, will talk about women and health. LeeAnn McKenna, Executive Director of Partera International will tell stories of women-centred training in war zones.
